IoT Solutions Developer

Your Mandate:

  • Work with the customer in conjunction with the sales team to understand project needs and design solutions.
  • Develop and customize our LoRaWAN device platform to project requirements.
  • Test and evaluate third party LoRaWAN solutions for suitability and work with partners to resolve issues.
  • Maintain and develop our Python based test platform.
  • Plan network and solution deployments.
  • Integrate our solutions with customer and partner web applications.
  • Occasional travel to customer site.

Required skills and experience:

  • Degree in computer engineering, computer science, mechatronics, or similar
  • C programming experience
  • Solid Python experience (SQL, Flask, pytest, threading, etc.)
  • Understanding of embedded systems
  • Exceptional problem solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hard working and dedicated
  • Willing and ready to work in an entrepreneurial atmosphere where some work may be outside your typical job description; you see this as an opportunity to learn together
  • Curious, fast-learner who’s not afraid to ask questions and learn from mistakes

The following competencies would be an asset:

  • Programming experience with C++
  • Experience with LoRaWAN and its deployment
  • Knowledge and experience of communication protocols
  • Experience with sensors and/or sensor systems
  • Knowledge and experience with hardware bring-up and troubleshooting
  • Hardware design experience would be an asset

Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a confident, organized, and dynamic Sales Development Representative (SDR) who wants to be part of a growing technology company focused on making our communities smarter by improving operations, reducing green house gases, reducing water consumption, improving mobility, and increasing revenues. You will play a critical role in our customers’ journey by being the first person to introduce them to eleven-x and our intelligent solutions. You will clearly articulate the eleven-x value proposition, identify and qualify opportunities, and most importantly, begin to establish a real connection with our prospective customers.

Reporting to the Head of Sales and surrounded by a seasoned team with a proven track record of success, you will sell the eleven-x parking and water metering solutions to municipalities across North America. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to hunt new opportunities that will be added to the top of our sales funnel. This exciting position offers the opportunity to be rewarded for initiative and results, with the potential for taking on a variety of challenges.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Research potential customers and accounts to identify people to connect with
  • Connect with potential customers through phone/video calls, emails, and chat
  • Pitch eleven-x parking and water metering solutions to potential municipal customers
  • Qualify top-of-funnel sales opportunities transitioning Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
  • Work closely with internal team members to schedule meetings and presentations
  • Use the CRM and other eleven-x tools to manage and track opportunity interactions
  • Facilitate smooth customer transactions and support Account Executives to help close deals
  • Collaborate on sales initiatives and new campaign development
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in our markets
  • Monitor and survey public tenders being released

What You Will Bring to our Team:

  • Willing and ready to work in an entrepreneurial atmosphere where some work may be outside your typical job description; you see this as an opportunity to learn together
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work well with internal and external teams; strong phone and email etiquette
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of sales techniques [such as online relationship building and cold calls]

  • Experience working with CRM software Familiarity with MS Excel and other Office programs
  • Prior experience in the parking or water industry is an asset
  • Prior experience with municipal, government, or large enterprise customers is an asset
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field preferred but not necessary
